Scott: We weren’t going to build. I hated the idea of building, absolutely hated it. We needed to move and we must have looked at 30 or 40 houses and every single house had that one thing that was missing, like the third room that we wanted for the kids.
Orange is pretty expensive. All the houses we looked at were around $450,000 and $460,000 and everything still needed a new kitchen on top of that. We built for about $480,000 and everything’s new. We have exactly what we want, the rooms that we want, and the colours we want.
Theresa: Once we’d decided to consider building, we looked at two or three plans that we liked and approached those companies. One gave me a quote and never phoned me back. Another didn’t want to talk to us until we had the land. We had others that rang but they wouldn’t provide the service we wanted.
The service we received from Mat at Bellriver Homes made the whole process so much easier. It was all new to us so we didn’t know how to go through that process.

As an investor, who has 50 years experience in the construction industry, I can say that generally I had a good build, taking into account the gross shortage of good labour and materials at this time. Quality of workmanship and finish was of a high standard and although there were a few issues during construction, but I realise that construction is not an exact science and hiccups do occur.
Fortunately a good relationship was maintained. and I intend to continue my relationship with This Company as my preferred builder of investment properties. I have referred friends to This Company and I intend to continue with the referrals. At the end of the project I expect a high quality product to produce a profit and that is what I have achieved.

Hoorah! We have a brand new home. Thanks Bellriver! As new and young builders we knew that the process wasn’t going to be easy. There was a lot we didn’t know or understand, we were indeed your regular rookies. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Neina who helped us up off the ground. Her knowledge of product and design was extremely helpful and her overall encouragement comforting. Without her assistance we wouldn’t be here today.
Additionally Reuben, our construction manager, thank you for your patience and expertise. You have delivered us a quality home, whilst putting up with our constant questions, without complaint, and in amazing time. From the moment our site was cleared our beautiful home was complete in 17 weeks (which is 8 weeks ahead of schedule). Many people make comment that an early finish is a negative thing, not for us, everything was finished well and we can now take pride in the beautiful home built by a fabulous team of people. Many thanks to all the Tradesmen (whose names we don’t know) but we are grateful for all the hard work you have put in.

"Our home is being built in a unregistered land development"
I would like to commend Bellriver for their sincere approach and professional responsibility. Through a time that has been difficult for all waiting on our new home development, they have been fair and patient. They took responsibility and made decisions in the interest of the purchaser, even though the delays were not their fault and even though this results in a loss of profit for the company. They have listened to every need and request I have made along the way and been generous, supportive and helpful in the design of my new home.
I am yet to see the end result, and am beginning to feel quite excited in anticipation, but I have seen some of their buildings in progress. There is something very neat and classy even in the building site that I have never seen anywhere else. While they are not the cheapest builder, all inclusions are very good quality and everything is covered up front. Where I have requested changes to standards they have been more than fair, to the point of being generous in my interests.
I am looking forward to the end result and am sure it will be as pleasing an experience as the kindness I have received from them. I highly recommend Bellriver as a builder. There is only one thing I would add – remember that it’s in the owners interest to develop as much positive communication with the builder as possible. That given, they are a busy company and a little patience helps things work smoothly. I can’t thank them enough!
